Due to the current situation, more and more companies are focusing on the topics of loss of earnings according to § 56 Infection Protection Act and short-time allowance. For both points, there are corresponding configuration options in Sage Human Resources. With the subsidies we can support individually.

In this context, the Bundestag and Bundesrat have created the conditions for the federal government to change the access requirements for short-time allowance and to regulate the reimbursement of social security contributions. In the wake of the corresponding decree, an initial program adjustment was made in Sage, which was made available as a hotfix. Furthermore, there is now the wage type setting "Ag shares KUG holiday" and adjustments to the loss of earnings due to childcare.

As of March 2020, the reimbursement of employer contributions to the fictitious remuneration for short-time allowance was carried out as a lump sum. For this purpose, the forms for the KUG application and the payroll list were adjusted.

On May 15, the Bundestag approved the Act on Social Measures to Combat the Corona Pandemic. This means that employees will receive higher short-time working benefits under certain conditions. The necessary program changes will be available in the program from mid-June 2020.
