Human resources and employee portal
Nowadays, the time factor is a decisive parameter in many companies. It is therefore a fundamental concern to design processes as efficiently as possible. Automated processes in which employees and decision-makers interact with each other are one approach to this. A common database for all HR modules is another. With the HR Suite, Sage offers not only payroll accounting that is always up-to-date, but also many other modules that access the centrally stored employee master data.
Employees can also be actively involved in the maintenance of their own data via a portal, but without being allowed to intervene in payroll-relevant processes. Vacation planning, travel expense accounting or the entry and correction of time management data is also handled via the employee portal using a freely configurable request and approval system. Other options include the documentation of development meetings, reminders for activities to be carried out when employees join or leave the company or for further training, applicant management with the associated viewing and input processes, and the storage of target agreements.
In a nutshell, the employee portal is a comprehensive work tool for supervisors and employees who have to complete defined subtasks in the overall human resources process. For example, information can be obtained in the portal, documents made available (e.g. the time tickets) can be downloaded independently, or approval can be given for a vacation.
Through the possible use of the payroll module, the data recorded in the portal is subsequently available during payroll. However, the employee portal also guarantees efficient work when time management, applicant management or personnel management are used separately.
